{"id":2056,"date":"2015-05-14T19:42:04","date_gmt":"2015-05-14T23:42:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unclerickaudios.com\/?p=2056"},"modified":"2015-05-14T19:42:04","modified_gmt":"2015-05-14T23:42:04","slug":"a-word-to-the-wise-timing-can-be-everything","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.characterconcepts.com\/unclerick\/2015\/05\/14\/a-word-to-the-wise-timing-can-be-everything\/","title":{"rendered":"A Word to the Wise, Timing can be Everything"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey, little buddies!<br \/>\nI was reading in Proverbs this morning and I came across a familiar verse.<\/p>\n<p>It was Proverbs 27:14: \u201c<i>He who blesses his friend with a loud voice early in the morning,<\/i> <i>It will be reckoned a curse to him.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other words, if you want to tell a friend how much you appreciate him, don\u2019t wake him up early in the morning to do it. He won\u2019t appreciate your kind words as much as he resents being awakened from a comfortable sleep. He\u2019ll be as unhappy with you as if you had cursed him instead of pronouncing a blessing on him.<\/p>\n<p>This is just one example of why it\u2019s important to use wise timing in speaking to others. When you have something you really want to say, it\u2019s easy to forget that the person you want to talk to may not be ready to hear you right now. The person may be busy, talking to someone else, distracted or not feeling well. There are lots of times when it\u2019s better to wait than to speak as soon as you think of something to say.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, it\u2019s not just what you say.
